Who we are
STEMroots Inc. is an Ontario not-for-profit corporation (Corporation No. 1001623975) that runs free, hands-on STEM workshops at schools across Canada. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean STEMroots Inc., and "the site" means stemroots.ca. By using the site, you agree to these terms.
Workshop requests
A message through the contact form or by email is a request, not a booking. A workshop is booked once we confirm the date, time, and details with you by email. Our workshops are free for schools. Dates depend on when our volunteers are available, so we may suggest a different time.
Chapter leader applications
Chapter leaders are student volunteers. Sending an application does not guarantee a place. The role, what we provide, and what we expect are described in the role guide linked from the chapter leader section of the homepage.
Using our content
You are welcome to read, link to, and share pages from the site. The STEMroots name and logo, the photos, and our lesson materials belong to STEMroots or to the people who made them, so please ask us before copying or reusing them.
Photos
The photos on this site come from our workshops and events. If you or your child appear in a photo and would like it removed, email us and we will take it down.
Links to other sites
The site links to services we use, such as Google Forms, Google Docs, Google Maps, and Instagram. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content.
Accuracy and availability
We provide the site as it is. We do our best to keep it accurate and online, but details such as chapters, lessons, and dates can change, and the site may sometimes be unavailable. Please confirm anything important with us before relying on it.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, STEMroots is not liable for losses that come from using the site or relying on information on it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that cannot be limited by agreement.
